Right off the bat, I'm assuming that the previous version 35mm f/1.4L USM I will resolve details similar to the current version USM II on the Canon 5D Mark IV. Furthermore, I'm also assuming that the current version 35mm f/1.4L USM II will resolve details better at higher resolution, on the Canon 5DSr. That would make the most sense.

The image from the Canon 35mm f/1.4 L gets larger as focused more closely. Color Rendition performance top. The color balance of this 35mm f/1.4 L seems the same as my other Canon EF lenses. Coma performance top. Coma, or saggital coma flare, is when points of light in the corners turn into batwing-shaped blobs.
With the release of the new 35mm f/1.4L II USM, however, Canon appears to be taking direct aim at Sigma. Just as I was about to upgrade to the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L or the Zeiss 35/1.4 kv97Xby.
